Christian Sacred Dance
Teaching Videos
I have several videos of Sacred Dances that I choreographed to contemporary Christian music. These videos demonstrate complete dances suitable for performing in church or at community events.
The Interpretive Arm Movement numbers are performed facing the camera so the student can see complete arm movements. The Lyrical dances are performed first facing the camera, then turned away so a student can follow along with the proper left/right orientation. A copy of the written choreography accompanies each video.
Even though the videos are not narrated, the Interpretive Movement numbers are suitable for beginners with little or no dance training. Elementary age students to senior citizens can enjoy glorifying God with these numbers. The students simply follow along with me. The Lyrical pieces are more complex and require the student to have a dance background. While I do not break down each movement, trained dancers are able to learn the dances using the videos and written choreography.
Due to copyright restrictions on the songs used on these teaching videos, in most cases the videos may only be distributed within the United States. In some cases Canada is included. For some, I have unrestricted permission. Please check under the title of the dance to see where the dance may be distributed.
